  • A valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) and Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) is mandatory.

ITBP Constable Driver Recruitment 2024 : Selection Process

Phase Of Exam

Phase 1

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • No marks will be awarded for this test.
  • PET shall be qualifying in Nature.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

  • Candidate who qualify in PET will be screened for Height, Weight and Chest.

Phase 2

Written Test (OMR Based)

  • The Written examination will consist of objective type multiple choice questions, carring 100 Marks.
  • Each Question Will Carry 1 mark.
  • There is no negative Marking.
  • The Level of questions will be of 10th Class.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for UR, EWS & Ex-Servicemen shall be 35% and 33% for SC, ST, & OBC (NCL) category.

Phase 3

Document Verification (DV)

  • The candidate who qualified the written examination, to the tune of ten times category-wise vacancies will be called to appear for Verification of original documents.
  • PET shall be qualifying in Nature.

Practical Skill Test

  • The candidates, who qualified PET, PST, Written Examination & DV will appear in Practical Skill Test.
  • This test will carry 50 marks.
  • The qualifying marks for all candidates (irrespective of category) shall be 50%.
  • The Practical skill test will be qualifying in nature.

Merit List

  • After completion of Practical Skill Test, Merit List in each category (UR, ST, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen) will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination.

Phase 4

Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

  • The candidates who are selected in order of Merit List will put through Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Review Medical Examination (RME)

  • All candidates declared unfit during Detailed Medical Examination (DME) will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME) .
